Nigel Farage Claims Educators of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a Reform UK election victory, accusing them of “poisoning our kids” by instructing children that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

During an event for a private US Christian college, Farage outlined his viewpoint on British schools, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators very quickly after securing a victory,” he remarked during a Q&A session.

“They are poisoning our kids. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They create division, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”

In response to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede dismissed the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “nonsense”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his political career on coded rhetoric and currently, similar to other figures, he is lining up teachers and their unions for a fight,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … Should he become prime minister he would sell out our public services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

Reform, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and seems not to have designated an education lead.

However, his comments indicated the party would overhaul the system and the curriculum. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – truly monumental. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Honoring a conservative activist, he commented: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves as opposed to current practices where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

Farage has accused Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … an individual intent that young minds be corrupted at school, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and has argued that the union is trying to indoctrinate youth opposed to his party.

Almost one million people work in schools in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has hundreds of thousands of members.

Countrywide walkouts over teacher pay and conditions in recent years led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for children.

During the American gathering, Farage also vowed to promote the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He stated such groups were “key to resistance”, noting: “I mean this. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of young people to these educational programs. I pledge this now and I will follow through.”

The college, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of freedom. The college furnishes these excellent programs for no charge to every interested learner.”
