The under-pressure manager stated he was not afraid of dismissal, maintaining, “I believe we are really close to things turning around,” despite sliding worryingly close to being fired with a heavy defeat by their arch-rivals.

Another Capitulation Leads to Old Firm Disaster

Celtic were ahead their oldest rivals at half-time but a collapse after the break let Danny Röhl’s team to pull level on points with the reigning league title holders. The former MLS manager, who was appointed from the MLS, has now been in charge for six defeats in his last eight matches.

“The standard we had at times was of top quality. That happened. And I would not talk like that if it was different. That is the reason, regarding outcomes, I noted it's a repeating pattern. Which is why I believe a change is coming to things turning around. But for the moment: small things.”

“There were plenty of positives that we did, once more. The issue now comes down to sustaining it. My outlook would not be if it was not the case. This is why I am convinced we will manage to get back on track.”

Opposition Reaction Response

Danny Röhl played down talk of a title charge in spite of what felt like a huge result. “We take it game by game, and we can develop momentum,” he said. “The faith in the squad is excellent.”
